Tree Varieties
Honey Bear offers four varieties for pre-order, pick-up or delivery at our Redwood City and San Carlos Christmas Tree lots.
Noble Fir
Our most popular tree, Noble Firs have stiff branches and needles with beautiful green tips. They last a long time and are often used in decorative wreaths and garlands. Our 18' to 20' Premium Tall Trees are Noble Firs. Also available as #1 Grade from tabletop sizes on up. Read our tips on caring for your fresh Christmas tree.
Fraser Fir
Our most uniformly pyramid-shaped tree, this fir has upward branches and short, lustrous dark green needles with a silver grooved underside. It provides a pleasant pine scent and is strong and durable. From tabletop up to 12'.
Grand Fir
The grand fir is easily distinguished from other Pacific Northwest firs by its sprays of lustrous needles in two distinct rows that are horizontally spread so both the upper and lower sides of the branches are clearly visible. The needles are 1 to 1 1/2 inches long with glossy, dark-green top. This is the most fragrant of the firs.
Douglas Fir
These soft needles are dark green-blue in color and about 1 - 1/4 inches in length. The Douglas Fir needles radiate in all directions from the branch. When crushed, needles have a sweet fragrance. Nationally, it remains one of the most popular Christmas trees species. Tall Trees available.
